Support and availability

The help centre provides contact forms, chat, WhatsApp and regional support routes. The reviewed pages do not publish one universal response-time or operating-hours commitment for every entity, so clients should use the channel shown in their account.

AvaTrade states that it currently does not accept clients from the United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Belgium, Russia, Belarus and several other listed jurisdictions. Product access also varies: social trading is not available to European clients, and crypto, spread betting and professional status have local restrictions.

Minimum deposit
Standard card and electronic-payment funding starts at USD 100 or the equivalent account currency. AvaTrade pages conflict on the wire minimum: the comparison page lists 500 while the help centre lists 100, so the amount shown in the client funding screen controls for the chosen entity and method.
Spreads and commission
The international forex page publishes EUR/USD spreads from 0.9 pips. Standard OTC pricing is primarily incorporated in the bid and ask spread; a separate commission can apply to a specifically requested fee structure or particular product. Live instrument details control.
Additional fees
Potential charges include overnight premiums, an inactivity fee of USD, EUR or GBP 50 after three consecutive months without use, and an annual administration fee of USD, EUR or GBP 100 after 12 months without use, unless prohibited by law. Instrument and entity schedules can differ.
Execution
For OTC forex, CFDs, options and spread bets, the applicable AvaTrade entity acts as principal, market maker and sole execution venue rather than placing the trade on an exchange. It must follow its best-execution policy; slippage and market conditions still apply.
Maximum leverage
The highest verified leverage AvaTrade can provide across all regions is 1:400 on eligible forex instruments for non-EU accounts. It is not universal: retail regulatory caps, contracting entity, professional status, instrument and platform all determine the actual leverage.
Margin close-out
The help centre states that MT4 and MT5 retail stop-out is triggered at 50% of used margin, while professional and non-EU accounts can use a 25% trigger. The largest losing position and then further positions are closed until the required level is restored. AvaOptions closes all positions below 50% of required margin.
Negative balance protection
AvaTrade states that negative-balance protection is available across the compared entities, but legal scope and treatment can vary by product and classification. It does not remove market risk or guarantee execution price.

Forex, CFDs and options are leveraged products that can cause rapid loss. The displayed 1:400 is the highest verified capability, not a recommendation or a right available to every client. OTC positions are contracts with the relevant AvaTrade entity, and execution, protection and loss treatment differ by entity and classification.

Refer-a-friend cash credit

Up to 10% of the friend first deposit, capped at USD 250. Each USD 200 deposit tranche requires one eligible lot and can generate USD 20; partial completion is paid proportionally under the published terms.

AvaTrade currently publishes a referral programme that links the reward to a new client first deposit and completed trading volume.

Eligibility: Availability is jurisdiction-dependent. The referred person must be a new client, register through the referral link, verify a real account, deposit at least USD 200 and complete the required qualifying volume within 90 days. Trades must remain open for at least five minutes.
